TAMMY MANSFIELD (M’Lynn Eatenton) With a degree in music theory and Composition and an M.M. in conducting from The University of Southern Mississippi, Tammy divides her time as a music director and arranger, accompanist, costumer, and stage manager. She is a prolific music arranger for local show choirs, original productions, and private individuals. Her music director credits include local productions with the Hub City Players (Rock of Ages), Hattiesburg High School, Pearl River Community College, Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera, Just Over the Rainbow Theatre, Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company, Southern Miss Theatre, Jones County Jr. College, and in New Orleans with the Jefferson Performing Arts Society, TheatreThirteenNOLA, Rivertown Theaters, Gulf Coast Theatre On Tap, and the historic Le Petit Theatre.  Her favorite onstage credits include Cats (Grizabella), Legally Blonde (Paulette) and FestivalSouth’s LOL Cabarets and James and the Giant Peach (Sponge).  She was twice nominated for New Orleans Big Easy Awards for Best Music Director for Spring Awakening and Best Supporting Actress in Legally Blonde.  Many summers have been spent directing music at theater camps for JPAS Theatre Kids, ENCORE Dance Studio, The Dance Project, and the Parkway Heights Arts Academy. Tammy is a founding member of the Hub City Players and shares her life in Hattiesburg with supportive hubby Steve, their four boys and a beagle.

 

AMY STRATTON YANES (Truvy Jones) is a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi. After attending The University of Southern Mississippi she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music education with an emphasis is voice. While at the university, she was a soloist for the Southern Belletones a’capella ensemble and a soloist for the choral department’s Bach B Minor Mass. At a very young age Yanes joined the Moss Point’s Children’s Theatre and played Annie in a review of Annie. She is currently in her second year at Petal High School where she teaches show choir, concert choir and general music. While there, the show choirs have received awards such as Best Vocals, Best Performer, and Grand Champion. During her free time Yanes gives voice lessons to her students competing in solo competitions. Her mother has always been her biggest fan and was the reason she pursued a career in the performing arts.

LUCY SANGUINETTI (Ouiser Boudreaux) has been a resident of Hattiesburg for 24 years, and made her Hub City Players debut in last year’s James and the Giant Peach as Spiker. She has been involved in several  local HCLO productions.  She played the role of Mrs. Halloran in A Catered Affair, Cinderella’s Stepmother in Into the Woods, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Miss Bible Belt in The Pageant, and was part of the lead choral cast in Carole King’s Tapestry.  Lucy also played the role of Mrs. Higgins in William Carey University’s production of My Fair Lady. While in school, Lucy was Fiona in Brigadoon, Tuptim in The King and I, Ermengard in Hello, Dolly!, and has portrayed many roles over the years in her church’s Easter productions. She worked for 10 years at USM, 7 years at William Carey University and is presently the Executive Assistant and Office Manager for Albert & Robinson Architects in Hattiesburg.  She is married to Jay Sanguinetti, and they have a daughter, Abbie Sanguinetti of Hattiesburg, a daughter and son in law, Olivia and Blake Miley, from Sumrall, and one son and daughter in law, Whit and Claire Sanguinetti, who reside in Hattiesburg.  She is an active member of Temple Baptist Church and sings with the Celebration Choir and on the Worship Team. 

 

JENNIE BOUNDS (Clairee Belcher) is elated to be performing with The Hub City Players for her third show. She has performed in very diverse roles in Rock of Ages to Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach, but she gladly welcomes the challenges and opportunities that come with varied characters. She has also performed locally with HCLO in The Wizard Of Oz, A Christmas Carol, A Catered Affair, Les Miserables, and many others. She was awarded the 2016 Best of the Pine Belt Award for Best Amateur Actor. She works at Oak Grove High School with special needs students. Although she considers them "her own" kids she must acknowledge that her two biological sons, Jackson and Pate are pretty amazing too. She'd like to thank them for their unfailing and constant support, as well as their due criticism that keeps her from doing an excessive amount of foolish things.  She is married to Brad and is also "mom" to Simon The Poodle.

 

BLAIR DUDAS (Anelle Dupy-Desoto) Although it has been 8 years since she has been in a production, Dudas is certainly no stranger to the stage. She has appeared in over a dozen shows at USM and HCLO, some of which include Beauty and the Beast (Babette), Grease (Patty), West Side Story, and Company (April). She has also choreographed several productions for Jones County Junior College. Currently, she works as the assistant community director for Crowne at Long Leaf Trace Apartments in Hattiesburg. She is thrilled to be back on stage and wants to thank her amazing husband, Chaseton, for all of his support and her two little boys, Baylen and Caysen, for always making Mommy feel like a Star.

SARAH STEMBEL (Shelby Eatenton) graduated this spring with her BM in vocal performance from The University of Southern Mississippi under the direction of Dr. Maryann Kyle. During her time at USM, she has been a part of many productions with the Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company including Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera, Yum-Yum in The Mikado, Consuela in West Side Story, Manuelita in Carmen while covering the role of Frasquita, and in the ensembles of Turandot, Magic of the Musical Stage, ShowBiz Harmony, Rigoletto, Tosca, and Trial by Jury. She has also been apart of the Mississippi Opera productions of Turandot, Rigoletto, Carmen, and Tosca. This past summer, she attended  the Russian Opera Workshop in Philadelphia playing the role of Masha and Prilepa in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades. In 2016, she attended to the International Performing Arts Institute in Kiefersfelden, Germany where she studied the roles of Ännchen in Der Freischütz and Despina in Così fan Tutte. This last year, Stembel won first place in the Gulfcoast Steinway Competition in opera, second place in the Voices of Mississippi Competition with Mississippi Opera, and was a Grand Prize Winner in the Delta Symphony Concerto Competition. In 2019, Ms. Stembel will be pursuing a MM in Vocal Performance. She would like to thank Chris Word, Dr. Mike Lopinto, Hub City Players, and to all of the wonderful ladies in the show. She would also like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mother’s out there!

CHRIS WORD (Director) is an Assistant Band Director at Purvis High School in Purvis, MS. A native of Memphis, TN, he grew up in Starkville, MS and earned a BMEd from The University of Southern Mississippi. During his tenure in the pageantry arts, he has been on staff for numerous Scholastic A Regional Finalists, WGI Scholastic Percussion Finalist, and Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. During his tenure at Petal, the program had success on the field and indoor. The marching band has won the 2012, 2013, and 2016 State 6A marching band championships. He is a clinician, drill writer, choreographer, and adjudicator throughout the southeast. His theater choreography credits include Phantom of the Opera (Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company), James and the Giant Peach and Rock of Ages (The Hub City Players), Showbiz Harmony (Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company), Mary Poppins (Additional Choreography – The University of Southern Mississippi School of Music), and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Largo (FL) High School). He was the music director for She Loves Me (Pensacola High School).Chris is excited to work on his first production as director for The Hub City Players.

 

 

MIKE LOPINTO (Producer) has written, directed, music directed, designed sets and lighting for numerous productions, most recently directing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera (2017), Showbiz Harmony (2016), Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins (2015), Showbiz Showstoppers (2014) and Sweeney Todd (2013) for the School of Music and The Hub City Players productions of James and the Giant Peach (2017), and Rock of Ages (2016) for FestivalSouth, as well as Sondheim in the City in its Off-Broadway premiere in 2011. He is artistic director of FestivalSouth®, Mississippi’s only multi-week, multi-genre festival. Lopinto is one of the founding members of The Hub City Players, that has produced LOL comedy cabarets, variety shows and more statewide. On stage, his theatrical credits include Les Misérables (Thenardier), Hairspray! (Edna Turnblad), The Producers (Roger DeBris); Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), Cats (Old Deuteronomy), A Catered Affair (Mr. Halloran), Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Carousel (Mr. Snow), Die Fledermaus (Frosch) and many more. His voice can be heard at all Southern Miss games as "The Voice of The Pride" and on commercials across the South. www.consultm.net.

 

ALICE JOHNS (Stage Manager) is married to David Johns and mom to Brittany, Madison, Ashton, and Dawson.  She has helped teach 4-6 grade choir and choreographed Summer Music Activities for Kids (SMAK) for the last 10 years at Temple Baptist Church. This past summer, when her son, Dawson, played James in The Hub City Players’ James and the Giant Peach, she fell in love with The Hub City Players and wanted to help with future projects. Most recently, she served ad production manager for the Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera. She is so thankful to be able to help with this production.

PRENTISS SIMPSON (Hair/Wigs) has been in the beauty industry for 20 years. He has been an educator for WELLA and AVEDA, traveling the country teaching other professionals in the industry.  He began his theatrical endeavors in Laurel with the Laurel Little Theater and has had on and off-stage roles in shows in Hattiesburg with the Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera.  Most recently, he designed and styled wigs for the Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.
